STEM at The Bourne

As of 2022/2023, Hawthorn Class have participated in numerous sessions at Bourne Community College and have created a partnership which explores the values and objectives of STEM. The children have attended half-termly sessions at the college and thrived in a different setting with a wider variety of resources.

At the beginning, children attended a welcome workshop which was run by children and leaders at the school, and exterior STEM providers. You can find photos of the activities on this page.

Since then the children have created their own electricity, coded cars to draw patterns, explored tessellation and circles, soldered, investigated rockets and built their own among many other activities.
